I recently attended the Champagne Brunch on The Queen Mary in Long Beach. There were diners dressed up in their holiday best, Santa was walking around greeting everyone and there was ALL THAT FOOD. It was a beautiful spread with all your usual brunch fare and then some. I am not a seafood eater, but those that are headed straight for the shrimp cocktail and the lobster tails! Offered every Sunday the free-flowing champagne brunch is a pricey $49.95 plus tax + gratuity, so I was happy that it was a holiday party paid for by my tour guide alumnae network!
A lovely bonus housed at The Queen Mary right now is the Princess Di memorabilia on display, titled Diana, A Royal Exhibition. I was there for two hours but honestly could have stayed longer. There were so many news clippings to read that I had to skip over a lot of it. I wanted to soak in her photos, her hand-written notes and of course her beautiful clothing. My absolute favorite item on display was this picture of Princess Di with Prince William and Prince Harry. A mother’s love never dies.
