What’s your favorite memory of a summer vacation? Or are you waiting in anticipation of a fabulous vacation THIS summer?
I recently came across this list from ABC News of the best vacation spots for 2012 and wanted to share it with you. This summer I’ll be here in Los Angeles, showing off the Sites & Bites of Hollywood, but I’ve had some memorable summer vacations in my day and I want to tell you about one of them.
Just before launching TOURific Escapes in the summer of 2010, Matt and I were asked to host a trip to Yellowstone National Park with our travel club. I had no idea such a beautiful place existed and with all the steaming geysers and hot-springs I kept describing the scenery as “other-worldly.” But then the bison and bears walked into the picture and brought me back to my senses. I also dined my way around the park with plenty of BBQ and everything huckleberry you could imagine from pie to ice cream! Celebrating Independence Day in small-town America is something I’ll always treasure! Yellowstone turns 140 this year, marking her special place as the first U.S. National Park.
