You may know it as the Pink Palace. Nestled just north of Sunset Boulevard, this beautiful hotel (and the 21 bungalows) has always held a bit of magic for me. I’ve taken countless out of town friends for drinks at The Polo Lounge. I’ve had brunch poolside and also was treated to a birthday lunch where Jessica Simpson was dining a few tables away.
This year the hotel was named Beverly Hills’ first historic landmark, a perfect tribute for its 100th year. So when I found out that the hotel had been hosting Friday evening pool parties with jazz music and entertainment by the Aqualillies, I just had to go. I caught the very last party of the summer. With a frosty frozen coffee (beware, the cheapest cocktails are $17) my friend and I chatted poolside, feeling very regal, as the sun was setting.
