Sunday morning brunch is one of my favorite dining events. A former post office, MB Post is a charming space near the Manhattan Beach pier. I have been for dinner, but just recently learned they also serve weekend brunch. Matt and I started with coffee and a caramel pecan sticky bun. We followed that with eggs benny on Chef David’s famous bacon cheddar biscuit, a few garlicky fingerling potatoes and honey truffle fried chicken suggested by my friend Kris. Really wanted to try the spiced apple hand pie but couldn’t take another bite. Many diners around us were enjoying morning cocktails like Pirate Ship Revenge and Pushing Daisies. Next visit will include one of those. The perfect way to end this meal? Paying the bill with our $50 dining check from Open Table!
