You all know how much our tour groups love the food and the staff at Greenblatt’s Deli. Even the most devoted pastrami fan needs a break every now and then. The staff at Greenblatt’s told me once they often have lunch at a restaurant across the street called Luca on Sunset. With lots of vegetarian and gluten-free options, the restaurant stands behind wholesome food: organic, healthy, natural and delicious. In the neighborhood one day doing some research, I decided to bypass a bowl of Matzo Ball soup for a visit to Luca.
I ordered a Soup + Salad combo: avocado, cranberry and goat cheese salad with a bowl of cauliflower puree soup. Healthy, delicious and generous portions of both. I usually shy away from pricey juices and smoothies but when I saw the beautiful wall of fresh fruits behind the counter, I decided to order a 16oz (smallest size) Pine-APP, made of organic pineapple, pear and apple juices freshly squeezed on the spot. And oh so good! Not only did it make a pretty picture but the flavors of the fruits were so fresh and so perfect that I have to declare the Pine-App juice from Luca on Sunset as my best bite (sip) of the week.
