Guiding the Celebrity Insider tour these past few months seems to have the strange effect on me of making me believe I too could succeed on screen and stage – just like the people I talk about on the bus.
As a result, the next few weeks see me embarking on a string of showbiz projects!
I’ll be making my reality TV debut when appearing on new series Beverly Hills Pawn on June 19 at 7:30pm, repeated at 9:30pm, on Reelz channel. The show is set around the Dina Collection, an upmarket pawn shop that does a brisk business in movie memorabilia…something I know plenty about. This episode sees me handling the gun that Charlize Theron used to go on her killing spree in Oscar winning film, Monster.
Meanwhile my one man stage show about life as a celebrity interviewer, Clooney, Cowell, Pitt and Me: Amusing Encounters with the A-List, can be seen on June 16, 23 and 28 at Hollywood’s Hudson Guild Theatre. If you’ve enjoyed hearing me tell stories about the stars on the Celebrity Insider Movie Locations Tour then you’ll like this too. Please come along and say hi. Last but not least some of you will remember I wrote and directed a multi award winning short film earlier this year, the Les Miserables parody Miserable Lesbians. Well after becoming an internet hit with nearly 4,000 views on You Tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WtVZO0_dVlM I have now adapted it into a stage musical! I rap in the show – and if you want to see that – there are plenty of chances to do so.
The Miserable Lesbians Poolside Launch Party and Concert takes place on the afternoon of Sunday June 30 at a gorgeous villa in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. The ticket price of $25 includes a buffet meal of gourmet food, an open bar and a concert performance by the cast singing songs from the show. Book here for the most fun party of the summer http://miserablelesbianspoolparty.eventbrite.com/#
Then the musical itself, set in 19th Century France, will be presented in Los Angeles at a special Bastille Day (July 14) performance at the Working Stage Theatre in Hollywood. Tickets priced $15 are available here, while they last, http://miserablelesbians.eventbrite.com
Next we take the show on the road with performances in New York at the number one Off Broadway Theater, 59e59 (between Madison and Park) on Saturday July 27 and Sunday July 28. Tickets just $12 from ticketcentral.com https://www.ticketcentral.com/Online/default.asp
Finally I’ll be heading home to Great Britain where ‘Mis Les’ will play the world’s biggest arts festival, the Edinburgh Fringe on August 17 https://www.edfringe.com/whats-on/musicals-and-operas/miserable-lesbians-the-parody-musical
In between all this activity I’ll be continuing with my main passion – by continuing to guide the Celebrity Insider Movie Locations Tour for TOURific Escapes, on which I love meeting fellow showbiz fans and sharing tales of the stars.
But if any of my side projects take off and make me a star too, I’ll be more than happy to sign a free autograph for every guest J
