Dining in LA-My Best Bite of the Week: Breakfast at Little Dom’s
This morning I treated a friend to breakfast for her birthday. She knows how much I love to try new places for research purposes, so she asked me to pick the spot. Little Dom’s has been on my radar for some time, but it’s located on Hillhurst Avenue near Griffith Park and I just don’t get that direction often. I decided a Sunday morning drive would be do-able, but it still took 40 minutes from our near-LAX starting point. It certainly helped that street parking was plentiful and free!
Since I arrived early I ordered a cup of coffee and began to peruse the menu. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and there were many options. The winner was: Scrambled Eggs Bruschetta w/ Grilled Baguette, Roasted Tomatoes & Pesto. I think the colors look so festive in this photo, don’t you? And it tasted as good as it looked! The baguette was toasted just right and drizzled with the perfect amount of olive oil. The green pesto sauce was a nice accompaniment to the scrambled eggs. All in all, really a perfect dish, so it’s no surprise that I’m declaring breakfast at Little Dom’s my best bite of the week. A side-note: If I lived in this neighborhood, this place would totally be my hangout. They offer three course Monday Night Suppers for $15, and special events such as this week’s Ugly Sweater Contest!
