Hollywood SWEET Hollywood
On a recent Monday night, rushing through the Hollywood & Highland complex to catch a movie at Grauman’s Chinese Theater, I dragged Matt through the new Sweet! shop on the second level. Whoa! We needed a lot more than 10 minutes, so I’ll be going back very soon. But I had enough time to get a fresh, warm sample of stick candy being made by the friendly Sticky candy-makers. I snapped a few pics in between putting a bag of candy together for the movies. You know the kind where you pay by the pound. There was so much to choose from!
Matt got sour candies while I got a selection of taffy, Toosie Rolls, chocolates, old-fashioned candies, mints and gum. I had noticed a wall of M & M’s and also a separate wall of colorful Jelly Bellys. There were displays and candies calling out to me from all corners of the shop, until the phone rang and it was Matt calling to tell me the line was moving fast. So I ran out with bags full of candy with the promise to the sweet cashier that I’d be back!
