I scream for Sprinkles Ice Cream

After several months of anticipation, I finally tried Sprinkles Ice Cream. I walked into the Beverly Hills shop (with NO line snaking down the street) on an autumn Monday at about 3:00pm. The menu was a little overwhelming at first but once I got my bearings, I was a happy camper. Scoops, sundaes, sandwiches and more were offered with 10-15 different flavors available that particular day + toppings. I only sampled two, wait three flavors: Red Velvet, Salty Caramel and Cap’n Crunch (just before departing).

I was in a sweet & salty mood, so I went with a scoop of the Salty Caramel (in a cup) topped with marshmallow cream AND red velvet cupcake crumbs. Oh joy! I tried to eat it as slowly as I could to make it last as long as possible. I can honestly say it ranks up there as some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had. Smooth and creamy with lots of flavor. The red velvet crumbs were a nice touch but the real star was the ice cream. I’m already planning my next visit on a Friday or Sunday to try the Malted Milk Chocolate ice cream; who wants to join me?
