Pici Enoteca

We recently discovered Pici Enoteca, a special new gem in Beverly Hills! With Chef Jason Harley at the helm, this Brooklyn transplant knows what he’s doing in an Italian kitchen! We were warmly greeted at the door by Jason himself and the feast began. We started with warm artichoke fritters, and followed with his specialty: lemongrass pizza with carmelized onions and crispy ginger. Jason’s pizza recently landed on a list of 20 favorite pizza spots in the US by the Huffington Post. Thin crust, flavorful toppings, served on a wooden board. Delish! We couldn’t very well be at a restaurant named Pici and not try the pasta (pici means hand-rolled pasta!) and so we enjoyed both the mac & cheese and a pasta with Bolognese sauce. I wanted to hug the person in the kitchen rolling out the pasta, it was that good. Jason’s apple donuts were a perfect ending to this meal.

Some unique things to note are that each dish on the menu contains 6 ingredients or less. Jason has also partnered with 5 local farms to source quality ingredients for his soups, salads and more. The restaurant is small and cozy, and for the two hours we were lunching, I truly felt like we were in a charming rustic Italian eatery in New York. By the way, there is a wine (including my fav Prosecco) and beer list to accompany your meal. Pici Enoteca receives a big thumbs up from this Italian girl, and I look forward to my next visit!
