Sandro and the Stars
One of the great joys of guiding the Celebrity Insider Tour is getting to share the funny stories of my encounters with A-listers from my career interviewing superstars. From the time I kissed Madonna to my accidental head butt of Tom Cruise, guests are guaranteed as many funny stories as they are movie locations while the TOURific Escapes bus winds its way through Hollywood and Beverly Hills.

But there’s plenty more tales where those came from and to prove it I’m doing a one man stage show on December 6 full with all my very latest and greatest adventures with the big names. To read more about, or book tickets for, ‘Sandro and the Stars,’ please visit www.sandro.eventbrite.com. Hope you like this poster for the event, which shows me with some of my favorite stars, Leonardo Di Caprio, Sylvester Stallone, Pamela Anderson and Stephen Merchant.

I’ve certainly been seeing a lot of stars lately. In my capacity as a director of the British Academy of Film and Television Arts Los Angeles it was my pleasure to attend our Britannia Awards at the Beverly Hilton (a movie location for Oscar winning film Argo by the way) where the honorees included Robert Downey Jr, Dame Judi Dench and Emma Watson. Here’s a picture from the night showing Downey with other attendees Dustin Hoffman and Jamie Foxx. Meanwhile my most enjoyable interview recently was with the stars of the fabulous new Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything, Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, who play Stephen Hawking and his wife Jane. Here I am pictured with the talented British duo, who are both likely Oscar nominees for the film.

Away from the celebrity circuit I’ve also been hosting the Brits in LA pub quiz every other Tuesday night at my favorite Hollywood bar, the Pikey on Sunset Boulevard. So come along and join me there some time. You don’t have to be British and you don’t even have to be good at general knowledge – for with me setting the questions, most of them are about showbiz. Oh and The Pikey is also a place of celebrity interest as it was just a few yards from there that Hugh Grant picked up hooker Divine Brown 20 years ago now – and both their police mug shot photos from that night are hanging up on the wall of the bar to commemorate that area’s place in celebrity history. You can book for Sandro’s Celebrity Insider Movie Locations Tour of LA, held on Saturday afternoons, at www.tourificescapes.com.
