Say Hello To My Little Friend

food, tour, hollywood

Hello friends.  Once again I’ve been meeting the superstars.  Recently it was my great pleasure to interview Godfather and Scarface legend Al Pacino, who turned out to be delightful and insightful. [image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”4201″ align=”center” fitMobile=”true” autoHeight=”true” lightbox=”true”] Our chat was on stage at swanky LA private club Soho House following a screening for members there of his passion project, a filmed version of Oscar Wilde play Salome which sees Pacino playing Biblical bad guy King Herod. [image source_type=”attachment_id” source_value=”4202″ align=”center” fitMobile=”true” autoHeight=”true” lightbox=”true”] Look out for that one and also his latest film Danny Collins that stars Al as a veteran rock star trying to bond with the family he previously abandoned.  Talking of music superstars, Elton John was at the next table when I was dining recently at Los Angeles’ hottest new restaurant, Craig’s. The impressive place was packed with other stars too. I was the only person in there I’d never heard of another great thrill was being invited to a filming of the latest episode of American Idol and I can’t wait to share stories about the great Jennifer Lopez and the other judges with guests on my next Celebrity Insider tour.

The tour remains as fun and popular as ever ; just look at the happy faces of these guests, members of the Junior League, who booked a private tour to see the locations where famous movies were filmed and hear the inside stories on the making of those films.

I was the one getting a tour just the other day when I was shown around my city’s airport, LAX, which is in the process of getting a terminal by terminal makeover that will ensure that as well as being one of the world’s busiest airports, it will soon be one of the best.  There was nothing but the best when I took off from LAX on Emirates Airlines jumbo jet for the first ever movie premiere held mid-flight on a plane. Sitting comfortably in business class while watching the new documentary Living in the Age of Airplanes was a luxurious experience.  It was only a pity that the film’s narrator Harrison Ford could not join us as he is still recovering from, ironically, an air crash. But then I can hardly complain about the amount of stars I have gotten to meet this month.  Come along on my tour with TOURific Escapes and I’ll tell you all about all of them.   By Celebrity Insider Sandro Monetti
