Seeing Stars at Comic-Con in San Diego…

I may well have to extend the Celebrity Insider Tour by a further hour to fit in all the star stories I picked up when encountering dozens of A-listers at the recent San Diego Comic-Con…

The world’s biggest and most star studded pop culture gathering – and my favorite event on the celebrity calendar – Comic-Con is a gold mine for any entertainment reporter and a treat for any film fan.

All the big names turn up there to start the buzz on the major films and TV shows we’ll be enjoying months, even years, from now.

Tom Cruise – complete with megawatt smile – was on hand to talk up his next sci-fi flick Edge of Tomorrow while the always charming and hilarious Sandra Bullock introduced first footage from her upcoming space movie with George Clooney, Gravity, and the self deprecating and hugely likeable Jennifer Lawrence chatted about the next Hunger Games film.

The biggest celebrity turn out from one movie was provided by the cast of next year’s X-Men: Days of Future Past with Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Michael Fassbender, Peter Dinklage, Anna Paquin, James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence, again, and many more making up perhaps the most talented and award winning cast assembled for any movie ever.

There were some surprising new projects announced too, like Lego: The Movie, an expensive animated blockbuster featuring the voices of Liam Neeson and Morgan Freeman.  I didn’t know what to make of that one but the cleverly updated remake of Robocop, featuring Michael Keaton and Gary Oldman, looked superb.

Of the new TV shows it was great to see Sawyer from Lost, nice guy Josh Holloway, heading back to our screens as a Six Million Dollar Man type secret agent, I guess that’s Six Billion Dollars with inflation, in a show called Intelligence. Look for that one in spring 2014.

As for all the inside scoop on my detailed chats with the stars, well I think I’ll save that to share with you on the tour. So book now with Tourific Escapes and you’ll get the very latest info on your Hollywood favorites from the man lucky enough to have met them all.

But Comic-Con isn’t just about stars, it’s also about costumes with the majority of the 150,000 fans in attendance going dressed up as their favorite pop culture character. Enjoy these fun outfits…
