I greet visitors from all around the world on my Movie Locations Tour of LA but this month I’ve been the one on vacation, heading over to Europe for family visits, fun and sun.

First stop was Italy and that tilting tourist attraction The Leaning Tower of Pisa, built in 1173 and one of the seven wonders of the world. So impressive. Somewhat less wondrous was the fact that there is now a McDonalds just yards away from it – and no, my dad (pictured) and I didn’t eat our lunch there. Apart from a few modern intrusions like that, Italy is a beautiful, timeless and terrific country and, in many places, much like a living movie set.

Next it was off to London, to see my mom (pictured with me in Piccadilly Circus), and what a vibrant, wonderful city England’s capital continues to be. We saw an excellent West End play called Great Britain, inspired by recent scandals involving the British press, did loads of shopping and ate really well. Anyone who says British food is terrible is living in the past – it’s among the best in the world now.

On my return to America, I had a few days to explore the California coastline visiting favorite spots like Laguna Beach and then Santa Monica – where ace photographer Thomasina photographed me on the sand in my signature outfit, a dark suit.
I had such a happy time on my travels and I know you will too –especially if you make my Celebrity Insider Tour with Tourific Escapes part of your next trip to LA.
